On zulip it was suggested that this is due to sccache invalidation and indeed a previous LLVM upgrade encountered similar issues. #88765 (comment) |

#89774 ran into a timeout due to apple builders. The major difference I see compared to the previous auto merge is that it now uses macos11 instead of 10.
